Y'all may have noticed that all of the tutorials on this site have a dashed line running through the center of each step, both in the horizontal and vertical direction. If students make their ain centered lines on theirown paper, before drawing, they volition take an easy reference to follow.

For instance, equally seen in Step ane below, this easy dragon body starts with a V shape above the centre horizontal line, and to theleft of the centre vertical line. The residue of the oral fissure and olfactory organ then starts to have place around it.

Drawing skills have a lot to practise with getting the right size and placement of lines on a sail of newspaper, and then having some visual reference points to become started, will always help anyone learn how to be a piffling more accurate.

So does that hateful kids need to draw a big fat line down the middle of their newspaper before they kickoff? Goodness no, please don't! That volition near probable be hard to erase and distract from any finished art. No, only fold the paper in one-half both ways, make a crease, and unfold. The beauty is that past the time the drawing is done and colored in, the creases will disappear.

And now, fourth dimension for students to make their own dragon drawing.
